Standard Vanguard estate photograph.
The Vanguards were introduced after the war and this one probably dates to the early 1950s. This style of front end bodywork was broadly shared between both the Phase 1 and 2 Vanguards. Estate car versions are thin on the ground and must be a really 'practically' classic for taking to shows now. Plenty of room for butties and a thermos flask!
Standard Books Whether for the Vanguard estate as shown below, or any other type of Standard, it is worth having a look on Amazon for books, DVDs, Videos etc.

Can you tell me any more about this Standard Vanguard estate? If you're into these cars, or other types of classic Standards, and would like to see your car featured in the Your Car Stories section at oldclassiccar, by all means get in touch as I'd like to feature as many original or restored Vanguard estates as possible.
All the pictures featured here were taken by myself at the August event in 2004.
