Singer Nine photograph.

Pre-war Singers have always been less represented in preservation when compared to some of the big volume producers of the pre-war era. And of the Singers that did make it into preservation most are of the sporting variety (eg the Le Mans models). The 9hp car shown here was built in 1933 and was powered by Singer's 972cc 4 cylinder engine.

Singer Books Whether for the Nine as shown below, or any other type of Singer, it is worth having a look on Amazon for books, DVDs, Videos etc.

Can you tell me any more about this Singer Nine? If you're into these cars, or other types of classic Singers, and would like to see your car featured in the Your Car Stories section at oldclassiccar, by all means get in touch as I'd like to feature as many original or restored Nines as possible.

All the pictures featured here were taken by myself at the August event in 2004.

I've attended this show at Tatton for many many years. You can see some of the other 79 photos I took at the August '04 show on this page.
