Classic Ford 103E Popular.
This sit-up-and-beg Popular is from the mid 1950s and was Ford's cut-price motoring offer for 50s motorists. Based on the earlier Anglia the Pop had smaller headlamps and pared-down trim. Gone was the boothandle and nice bakelite dash - the Popular had to make do with a T key to open the boot and had a bog-standard plain metal dash. Power (!) came courtesy of the well-known e93a-type 1172cc sidevalve engine.

103E Popular on display at Tatton Park, Cheshire.
If you have any more info or restoration stories about this particular 103E Popular, or 103E Populars in general, I'd really like to feature it on oldclassiccar.
I took all these photos at the classic & vintage show held at Tatton Park, in June 2005. The Ford shown above was one of several hundred vehicles held in the grounds of this National Trust property.
