More information on this Triumph Spitfire MkIV:

The Mk4 Spitfire introduced the swing spring arrangement to Triumphs little sportscar. It still ran a 1296cc engine similar to the previous Mk3. The styling of the Mk4 would continue with the later 1500 that was introduced when the Spit and MG Midget shared powerplants. Only in BL could you see two competing cars being sold with identical engines from the same overall manufacturer.
