Scammell Townsman.
By the time the Townsman was introduced the concept of a highly manouevrable 3 wheeler had been well and truly proven by the original Scarab. The Scammell shown here with St George's Day flag proudly positioned dates to 1966 and has a 2.6 litre engine.

Restored & preserved vehicles at Sandbach Festival of Transport.
Photographed here is a preserved Scammell Townsman that took part in the vintage vehicle event held in Sandbach. Mid way through the day, there was a run around the streets of this Cheshire town, and many vehicles took part. Some boiled up on this hot sunny day, but most completed the journey without a problem. For more photographs of vehicles (Scammells and others) simply visit the Sandbach show main page. There are 95 pictures featured from this transport festival, so if you are interested in preserved lorries, cars, and so on, have a look around!
All the photographs were taken by me at the 2006 event, and are subject to copyright etc. so please don't 'borrow' them, thanks.
