A few notes on this classic Thames 400E Pickup:
Following an expensive shunt that demolished a lightweight E-Type it was time to rebuild the tyre barriers. Out came the repair crews in a 400E pickup and an Austin Gipsy. The battered bonnet of the lightweight can be seen close to the Thames. Ouch.
If you can provide more info on 400E Pickups, or other Thameses similar to this, please get in touch. In all there are 170 photographs featured from the 2006 revival, including competition cars, service vehicles, pushbikes, and a few interesting old motors owned by visitors to the race. To make things more manageable, they have been split into 2 sets (this Thames is in set 2).
