Photograph of a classic Scoota-car at the Goodwood circuit.

Rytecraft Scoota-car at the Revival Meeting.
A few notes on this classic Rytecraft Scoota-car:

This amazing machine started out life as a fairground dodgem in a 'wall of death' ride. Many were then fitted with diminutive engines. This early example was fitted with a 98cc Villiers engine giving it a top speed of 15mph. Later cars had a 250cc unit and 3 speed gearbox (early cars had just one speed). This actual car was taken on a drive around the world in 1965/1966 by a Jim Parkinson covering no less than 15000 miles in the process!

If you can provide more info on Scoota-cars, or other Rytecrafts similar to this, please get in touch. In all there are 170 photographs featured from the 2006 revival, including competition cars, service vehicles, pushbikes, and a few interesting old motors owned by visitors to the race. To make things more manageable, they have been split into 2 sets (this Rytecraft is in set 2).

To view the other photos in this set, visit the Goodwood Revival Part 2 page.
