The Rally Of The Tests historic car rally held in November 2005
Notes on this classic Mercedes Benz 300SE seen on 13th Nov 2005.
Frank Fennell has had a great deal of success driving this two tone Mercedes in historic car events. This one looks to have shed a headlamp lens at some point earlier in the event. The engine is 2996cc in size.
This picture, of an early 300SE, is photo number 30 of 95 images that I've put up on the site showing the historic rally cars that took part in this event in 2005. Please go to the main Rally Of The Tests photos page to see the other 94 photos! All were taken during a mid-morning stop-over between competitive stages during the rally on Sunday 13th November. The venue was the former secret nuclear bunker at Hack Green, near Nantwich in Cheshire.
