Notes on this classic Austin Healey 3000 Mk1 seen on 13th Nov 2005.
2912cc of Austin power ensures this Healey 3000 has plenty of grunt. The cooling vent on the roof gives the crew some break from the high cockpit temperatures that Healeys can suffer with. The flap comes from the roadgoing Austin A30 and Mini vans.
This picture, of an early 3000 Mk1, is photo number 36 of 95 images that I've put up on the site showing the historic rally cars that took part in this event in 2005. Please go to the main Rally Of The Tests photos page to see the other 94 photos! All were taken during a mid-morning stop-over between competitive stages during the rally on Sunday 13th November. The venue was the former secret nuclear bunker at Hack Green, near Nantwich in Cheshire.
