The A40 Farina was launched late in 1958 and was retrospectively known as the Mk1. A few years into production and the Mark 2 came along. Initially fitted with the Mk1s 948cc engine it soon switched to 1098cc power and featured a number of revisions over the Mk1. Most obvious was the fully hydraulic braking system and longer wheelbase. Internal and external trim was also revised.
