1950s Austin A30 Countryman.

This little A30 Seven is a real cracker. Genuine Countryman (estate car) versions are getting quite rare now - many vans had holes cut in the rear side panels to make them into estates but this is a pukka Countryman as far as I can tell. The woodgrain effect isn't a factory original finish but looks in keeping.

Austin Books Whether for the A30 Countryman as shown below, or any other type of Austin, it is worth having a look on Amazon for books, DVDs, Videos etc.

  • A30 Countryman from Austin.
  • Built in: 1950s.
  • Colour(s): White.
The Austin photograph above wasn't taken by me, but by G. King, and is shown on oldclassiccar with his permission. His photos were taken at various locations a few years ago, including photos of classic Austins such as the A30 Countryman shown above. From what I can tell, some of the cars and vans featured were seen at shows (eg at the NEC and Alexandra Palace in London), whereas others were spotted out and about in daily use, or parked up at the side of the road. If you own the Austin shown here, or know the story of this particular A30 Countryman, by all means get in touch. I'd be interested in showing similar photos of other A30 Countrymans too, so if you can help please drop me a line.

More of the photos in this particular collection can be seen on the general Classic Car Photographs page. Other picture collections, featuring similar Austins, are available to view in the main car photos section.
