International panel van.
Amongst a batch of images bought in the USA was this old photograph, featuring a young lad, his mother presumably, and the family's International Harvester panel van. Judging by the heavy duty wheels, I doubt this is a IHC 1/2 ton van, more likely it is a 3/4 or 1-ton example. It also looks like it had led a reasonably hard life by the time of this photograph. Signwriting on the driver's door proclaims the owner to be a Mr Robert R. Theis, of ??? 95th Street, Chicago, Illinois.

The International's windshield is cranked open, and the driver's window lowered, which combined with the child's and mother's attire suggest a day trip to the beach was underway.

The van is an example of the D-series line introduced in 1937 by the Chicago, Illinois-based truck manufacturer (so this example hadn't strayed far from its roots in Mr Theis' ownership).

Other classic Inters on the site include this similarly-aged International coal truck.
