Fire engines (Part 2).
This page continues on from the first page of miscellaneous old fire engine photographs that already features on the site. The first two photographs on this page were sent over by Dane, he discovered both old fire engines in a run-down barn in New Zealand in 1962, but was never able to establish who owned them. Does anyone know where they ended up?

A Hudson fire appliance.
First then, this wonderful-looking machine which Dane identified as a 1920s Hudson, formerly used by the Marton Fire Brigade, a town some 25 miles from Wanganui, where this barn was located. The Hudson's registration was H36-166.

A vintage Buick.
In the same old shed lay this interesting vintage Buick. Again nothing is known about who owned this vehicle, and what subsequently happened to it?

As more vintage photographs featuring emergency vehicles turn up, I'll add them in here. A number of other vehicles similar to these can be found in the main photo index.
