The Elva Courier "open 2 seater"

Shown from the rear, photographed back in the 1960s, is a lefthand drive Elva Courier Mk4 convertible, painted white, and fitted with wire wheels.

The Mk IV, or T-Type, came along when Elva was under the control of Trojan, and featured a number of revisions of its forerunner, not least a switch from MGA to MGB powerplant, and independent suspension all around. The sales blurb on the back of this photo tells us that:

"T-Type Elva Courier Mk.IV Open 2 Seater.
The only 100mph open 2 seater in Europe with fully independent suspension selling in the UK for under 1000 GBP tax paid.
Reinforced metal and glass fibre body.
Ladder-type chassis carries 'Tru-Trak' independent rear suspension units.
Choice of 1500cc and 1800cc engines with a range of power outputs.
Prices in UK: From 955 GBP tax paid.
