Commer 8cwt van.
Les has been delving into his archives once more, and sent over this great old photograph of a 10hp Commer van. Un-registered, it could well be a factory promotional shot given how presentable the van looks. Note the dull coloured paintwork (the wings would have been black), the single windscreen wiper, and the sturdily-mounted rear view mirror, fitted to the driver's front wing only. Much of the running gear of these late 1930s' era Commer vans was shared with contemporary Hillman Minx saloon cars, and were forerunners to the later Commer Cob vans of the 1950s and 1960s.

This style of van was introduced circa 1936, and rated at 8cwt capacity. Production continued after the war, until 1947. An example of the earlier grille style fitted to these vans can be found on this page, where a similar van is shown demonstrating a garage gantry hoist, in the late 1940s.
