Again, no history comes with this old photograph. Jim, who has identified the locations of several old cars in this section, suggests that this Chevy was probably photographed in Singapore.

Unlike the other pics that I bought in this set, this snapshot just shows the car without someone standing in front of it. Shown is a light coloured Chevrolet Fleetmaster, built around 1947 a contact of mine tells me. Registration on this classic American is S3938.
Postwar Fleetmasters, which first came out in 1947, were powered by an inline six cylinder engine, of 216.5 cu in (3548cc). Quoted power output is 90bhp from the overhead
valve engine.
